A series of intense aerial exchanges between Russia and Ukraine has resulted in at least 14 deaths across both countries. Officials described the latest Ukrainian offensive as the largest of the year, involving 822 drones, with approximately 600 directed toward the Moscow region.

In Russia, the strikes claimed seven lives. Five individuals died in the Rostov region, while a civilian bus strike in Belgorod resulted in one fatality. Additionally, an 83-year-old man was killed in the Moscow region. The attacks also caused significant damage to a Wildberries warehouse in Koledino, located 25 kilometers from central Moscow, injuring three people. Ukraine’s defense ministry stated that this operation has now disabled seven of the retailer's ten major logistics centers, which Kyiv claims are utilized to supply the Russian military.

Simultaneously, Russia conducted widespread strikes across Ukraine, killing at least seven people and injuring more than 39. Fatalities were reported in the Zaporizhzhia, Kryvyi Rih, Sumy, Donetsk, and Kherson regions. In Kyiv, Russian forces targeted a facility producing missile parts and a drone component factory, causing damage to a local book market. Local business owners reported significant losses, with one shop owner describing the destruction of rare inventory.

President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that 13 Ukrainian regions were targeted this week by a combination of over 1,550 drones, 1,560 guided aerial bombs, and 62 missiles. As the conflict increasingly shifts toward an aerial war of attrition, Ukraine continues to develop domestic military capabilities. Former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov indicated that the country expects to be capable of striking Russian territory with domestically produced ballistic missiles within the next three to six months.
