Gohar Khan, a 2021 graduate, has transformed his personal experience navigating the higher education system into a large-scale mentorship platform. Growing up in Connecticut as a first-generation student, Khan faced significant hurdles during the college application process due to a lack of institutional guidance and parental experience with the U.S. university system.
To address these challenges for others, Khan launched his YouTube channel, "Gohar’s Guide." His content, which focuses on study strategies, application advice, and academic life hacks, has attracted a following of over 10 million people across social media platforms. Khan noted that his primary motivation was to "demystify the admissions process for a lot of people in the position I was once in."
Beyond his digital content, Khan serves as the CEO and cofounder of Next Admit. The consulting firm offers professional support for students, including assistance with standardized test preparation, essay writing, and the broader application cycle. Regarding his professional objectives, Khan stated, "I’m on a mission to help students worldwide succeed inside and outside of school."
