On the morning of July 22, 2026, Kouch Lina, Permanent Deputy Head of the branch committee, led a visit to support 15 vulnerable mothers and children in Svay Leu district, Siem Reap province. The initiative focused on providing both material assistance and health education to families facing economic hardship.
During the event, Kouch Lina conveyed greetings from Bun Rany Hun Sen, the National Eminent Person for the UN Secretary-General’s Every Woman Every Child movement, and Prak Sophoan, head of the provincial working group. He emphasized the importance of maintaining hygiene, urging residents to adhere to clean eating, drinking, and living practices.
The official provided guidance on maternal and child health, encouraging mothers to seek regular consultations at local health centers. Key recommendations included consistent prenatal check-ups, exclusive breastfeeding, monitoring infant growth, adhering to vaccination schedules, and ensuring proper nutrition, including the intake of iron supplements.
Each of the 15 recipients received a package of humanitarian aid, which included 25 kilograms of rice, a carton of instant noodles, fish sauce, cooking oil, and preserved vegetables. Additionally, the families were provided with baby care items—such as diapers, baby clothes, milk powder, and bottles—as well as personal hygiene supplies, including sarongs, mosquito nets, blankets, and 50,000 Riel in cash.
