NASA has finalized a contract with Chugach Intelligence Solutions LLC to oversee the maintenance, repair, and operational needs of the Ames Research Center located in California’s Silicon Valley. The agreement, titled Ames Facilities Support Services II, is designed to ensure that the center's specialized infrastructure remains functional for agency missions and the various partners operating within the NASA Research Park.

The contract is structured as a hybrid agreement with a maximum potential value of approximately $158 million. This figure accounts for all option periods and the total ceiling for indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity task orders. The deal includes a 12-month base period followed by four 12-month options, with an additional six-month extension available if needed. Work is scheduled to commence on August 13.

The agreement utilizes a combination of cost-plus-award-fee core requirements and firm-fixed-price phase-in models to provide the flexibility necessary for both standard facility upkeep and urgent maintenance requirements.
