NASA officials are set to host a media event on Friday, August 14, at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The briefing, scheduled for 2:30 p.m. EDT, will take place at the Shuttle Landing Facility’s XLV Hangar.
The primary purpose of the gathering is to provide details on an upcoming event planned for later this year. This future initiative is designed to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States by highlighting national progress in aviation, space exploration, and new technologies. The event aims to foster collaboration between industry experts, innovators, the public, and future generations of explorers.
The August 14 announcement will feature remarks from NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman, additional agency leadership, and members of Congress. The proceedings will be broadcast live across various NASA digital platforms.
U.S.-based media representatives and digital creators interested in attending the briefing in person must submit their accreditation requests by 12 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, via the Kennedy Space Center media portal.
