On Friday, July 31, NASA will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony and media tour at its Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia, to mark the opening of the Flight Dynamics Research Facility. This project represents the agency's first newly constructed wind tunnel in more than 40 years.
The event is scheduled to feature remarks from NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman, NASA Langley Center Director Dr. Trina Dyal, and U.S. General Services Administration Administrator Edward C. Forst. The facility is designed to bolster research and technology development, contributing to NASA's broader objectives in aeronautics and space exploration, including the Artemis program's goal of establishing a sustained human presence on the Moon.
