Trump Media & Technology Group, the parent company of the social media platform Truth Social, has announced plans to launch a commercial data feed on August 1. The service, branded as Truth API, is designed to deliver posts from prominent accounts to institutional clients in milliseconds.
The initiative targets financial traders and Wall Street firms that rely on rapid information to navigate market fluctuations. Because posts from Donald Trump—the platform's most followed user—have historically influenced global markets regarding trade and tariff policies, the company aims to monetize the demand for immediate access. Currently, financial institutions must monitor the platform manually, a process that can result in costly delays.
Interim CEO Kevin McGurn stated that the service is intended to generate consistent revenue for the company, which is currently operating at a loss. According to McGurn, the firm also intends to block unauthorized data scraping methods that some organizations have utilized to access content without permission.
The move underscores the intersection of Donald Trump’s business interests and his political profile. As the majority shareholder, the president stands to gain financially from the sale of expedited access to his public statements. Trump Media has not yet confirmed whether the president's specific posts will be included in the paid feed.
